Vera P. Fomina is the managing member and a founding attorney of Skidmore & Fomina, PLLC. With more than a decade of legal experience, Vera concentrates her practice on employment and labor law, representing employees in matters involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and unpaid compensation. She is admitted to practice in Washington and Texas and has successfully represented clients in both state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Department of Labor (DOL).
Vera’s work is driven by a strong commitment to fairness and accountability in the workplace. She regularly advises and advocates for employees under federal and state laws such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the Washington Law Against Discrimination. Known for her strategic thinking and compassionate approach, Vera works closely with clients to understand their goals and guide them through complex legal challenges with clarity and confidence.
Before co-founding Skidmore & Fomina, PLLC, Vera developed a diverse professional background that informs her thoughtful and client-centered practice. She earned her Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Fluent in multiple languages, Vera brings a broad cultural perspective to her advocacy and is deeply committed to empowering individuals and promoting equitable treatment in the workplace.
